Land at rear of Hill
House, Much Hadham

Hill Residential (‘Hill’) is bringing forward plans for a development of new family homes on a site to the rear of Hill House in Much Hadham.

Hill are a family-owned and award-winning housebuilder operating across the south of England. Hill acquired Hill House in March 2021. The house itself was subsequently sold and is currently being renovated by its new owners. The land to the rear of Hill House has been identified in the Much Hadham Neighbourhood Plan as being potentially suitable for delivering new homes for the village.

Emerging Plans

Hill is proposing to provide around 30 new homes, a large public park and areas of informal play space. There is also an opportunity to extend the play area for St Andrew’s C of E Primary School.

We would like to invite you to join us at our upcoming community consultation, where we will present detailed designs for the project.

Date: Tuesday 17th September, 3pm – 7.30pm

Location: Much Hadham Parish Hall, Oudle Ln, Much Hadham SG10 6DQ

This event will provide you with an opportunity to have your say on the proposed development. If you are unable to attend in person, the boards and feedback form will be available on our website from 17th September until 1st October.

Housing Needs Survey

In October 2023, Hill completed a parish-wide Housing Needs Survey in accordance with the requirements of the Neighbourhood Plan and in conjunction with the Parish Council. CDA Herts supported Hill and the Parish Council to conduct this survey. CDA Herts is a country-wide charity that provides support to local communities on a range of matters, including the delivery of affordable homes in rural areas.

The aim of the survey was to give residents in Much Hadham the opportunity to provide feedback on the type of affordable homes that they would like to see delivered as part of this development. The survey also provided the opportunity for residents to comment on wider village matters that the Parish Council were keen to canvas peoples’ opinions on.

The Executive Summary is available HERE.
